Shady Business has served the Tri-Cities region since January 2010 when Abingdon resident Nancy Harte realized the need for a lamp repair and high-end shade shop in the Abingdon and Tri-Cities area. Since opening, Shady Business has served customers from North Carolina to California.
Nancy's well-honed eye for design comes from over 40 years of experience in clothing, furniture and
kitchen design. Her creative vision allows her to source unusual, antique, and one of-a-kind items that make unique lamps and chandeliers. When she's not at Shady Business, Nancy helps design custom interiors with husband & co-owner Joel Harte, Southwest Virginia’s premier furniture and cabinetmaker.
