How to Measure Your Lamp
For the best custom fit, Shady Business always suggests customers bring your shade and your lamp into the store - we can usually help you find a new shade and make it fit perfectly. If you are travelling and can't pack your lamp, here is a handy little chart for accurate measuring of your lamp and current shade.
1. Place your lamp on a table surface.
2. Remove shade and set aside.
3. Measure from the table surface to the bottom of the harp or socket. That height, minus 1/2" - 1", is the measurement for the bottom diameter of the shade. Example, if your lamp measures 14.5" from table surface to bottom of harp, then the bottom diameter of the new shade should be 14". Depending on the style of the shade selected that measurement could vary slightly.
